Looking back over the past year of Sinful Sunday posts, I’m in awe of how I’ve grown as a photographer. Inspired by a post that Cara Sutra wrote, no longer are photos quick shots taken during our intimate times, now I work hard to set up photo shoots and create true works of art.
With the encouragement of Molly, Marie and so many others that stop by to see my Meme posts, I feel like I’ve really found my calling. I want to say Thank You to each and every one of you. You’ll never know how deeply your support and encouragement has touched me and Hubby.
As I’ve looked back at my photos the past few days, there are several that jump out at me as being great shots. But, one stands out more than the others and I wanted to share it with you.
Proving that sometimes a great shot isn’t always planned, this photo was taken in hast without any prior planning. It wasn’t the shot I went to the woods to get that day. Instead, I saw the tree and though oh this looks neat and just snapped a few quick shots. After I loaded them into the computer, the way the pictures turned out was a complete surprise to both me and Hubby.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
Stop by Sinful Sunday and join the fun.
That is a absolutely beautiful image of you.
I am sometimes amazed at how quick shots turn out. It doesn’t happen very often, but once in a while you get something amazing and unexpected.
We’re the lucky readers who get to enjoy your quick shot. Beautiful!
Absolutely stunning, love the rawness of this picture.
This is a lovely photo and I definitely come back for more over and over. I love your photography!

Lori, it has been amazing to watch you this year grow and develop as a blogger but also as a photographer. You have a natural skill that blossoms as you learn from doing. I am looking forward to seeing where the next year takes you and your camera because I am fairly sure it will be just as exciting to watch, and play a small part in, as it has been this year.

I always enjoy to view your photos. I never know what you will be up to next! Keep up the good work.

You are very talented; I still think the best photograph I have ever taken was when I was nineteen and in the Lake District. It was only when I saw the picture on my computer screen did I see how good it looked! Sometimes, we surprise ourselves! ;-)
Great photo, as always!
Super stunning!
I agree… sometimes the unplanned shots end up being the best!

That really is exquisite. I do love your photos, they are always so well thought out, even the candid, hasty shots look wonderful.
