Rope is versatile and I adore the things that can be done with it. With a bit of imagination and a basic knowledge of knots, stunning patterns and erotic poses can be created. No matter how you want to be bound, rope can help you achieve it. For me the thrill of rope isn’t the feeling of not being able to move, it’s the way that rope looks on my body. When I use rope, I can create something beautiful on my aging body. 

I’ve been playing with rope bondage for a few years now. But, it wasn’t until recently that I developed a deep passion for it. My mind constantly swirls with ideas thoughts of to create works of art with my rope. Every day, I make time to practice ties and ideas that I have.

 My rope work is a bit different than the style you typically see in photos. I don’t ascribe to anyone one style or school of thought. I like to think of myself as an aspiring artist, finding my own way with the rope. Truly a melting pot of ideas, when I create a photo shoot, it’s my version of things that have inspired me.  

The rope work that I share through our photos is self-bondage; every bit of it I tied myself. Hubby likes the way rope looks and the immobility aspect of rope, but he’s not a rigger. Nor do I want him to be. For me, rope is an erotic art form. Rather than sit passively by letting my body become the canvas, I want to be the creator and the canvas alike. Yet, one day soon I want to bind Hubby for photos; but he’s shy.  

As I’m sure you can imagine, self-bondage poses a bit of a challenge. From beginning to end, everything must be thought through differently than typical Dom/Sub binding. Modifications are a must. Granted, it can be challenging, but I love the challenge. Being able to create bindings similar to those of experienced riggers all by myself is rewarding on my different levels.

I’ve really enjoy sharing our photos of my rope work. Every week, I’m blown away by the positive and supportive response they receive. As a result, it drives me to come up with new and creative photos to share.

Since I’ve started sharing our photos, many people have showed an interest in knowing how I achieve my self-bondage. In response, I’m currently working a self-bondage guide that I hope will help many explore the fun and erotic possibilities of rope bondage.
