A short time before EroticonUSA Molly turned me on to Lauralyn Brickhouse’s blog Big Ugly. When I clicked the link and saw the erotic and provocative images there on Tumbler, I was blown away. You can’t help but be in awe of her imagery and the attention paid to each detail of the shoot, while running to get posed before her 10 second time goes off.

After you meet Lauralyn, you can see how she’s able to do it all. A little ball of energy, Lauralyn is truly a ‘go getter’ and full of determination to get the perfect shot no matter how many times she has to snap the picture. The images she’s able to create is truly worth each bruise and scrap she’s collected over the years.

Lauralyn’s path onto the professional photography scene has had it’s bumps. But she hasn’t let it affect her desire to keep creating. Opening a gallery in her small town, she faced a bit of resistance and tons of judgments about her work. However, she stood tall and with the support of her family, friends and children; Lauralyn opened 1 lb. Gallery. Her goal is to enrich and diversify the local arts comment by showcasing the work of established photographers and well and finding up and coming talent through her open call shows. Through Lauralyn’s 1 lb. Gallery, she’s been able to open up the minds of many in her small town and nurtures others who have a love for the art found within erotic photography.
